FireRiskHere Watch — SMS alerts
What the program is
FireRiskHere Watch is a subscription service that monitors addresses a customer has registered in their account against the live US federal wildfire incident feed. Customers on the Pro and Portfolio plans can add text-message (SMS) alerts in addition to email. Messages are sent from the toll-free number +1 (888) 468-4135 under the name FireRiskHere.
What we send
Only account alerts, and only when something changed at one of the customer’s own registered addresses:
- a fire’s perimeter was measured inside the customer’s chosen alert distance from a registered address (“breach”);
- a new wildfire of at least 10 acres was reported inside that alert distance;
- the one-time code used to confirm the phone number.
No marketing, no promotions, no third-party content. Typical frequency: 0–5 messages per month; a plan-level monthly cap applies and further alerts fall back to email.
Sample message: FireRiskHere Watch: BAKER Fire edge measured 7.9 mi from "Moms house" (was 21 mi) - inside your 25 mi alert distance. Details: fireriskhere.com/watch/app Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help.
How customers opt in
This is the exact opt-in form shown on the Notifications tab of the Watch app (behind sign-in). The preview below is not connected; it is here so the form can be reviewed without an account.
Text-message alerts
Get a text when a fire's perimeter is measured inside your alert distance from one of your places, or when a new fire of 10+ acres starts inside it. Available on Pro and Portfolio plans.
- The customer signs in to their Watch account at fireriskhere.com/watch/app/ (email magic link).
- On the Notifications tab they turn on the SMS channel and enter a mobile number. The screen states: “By enabling SMS you agree to receive wildfire alert texts from FireRiskHere at this number. Message frequency varies with fire activity. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to cancel, HELP for help.”
- We send a one-time confirmation code to that number; SMS alerts start only after the customer enters the code in the app.
Consent is stored with the account (number, timestamp, IP hash). Numbers are never shared or used for anything else.
How customers opt out
- Reply STOP to any message — alerts to that number stop immediately and a single confirmation text is sent.
- Or turn the SMS channel off in the app’s Notifications tab.
- Reply HELP for support contact details; response: “FireRiskHere Watch alerts. Help: support@fireriskhere.com or fireriskhere.com/watch/. Reply STOP to cancel.”
